OUR STORY

Rodney Harkness, owner and director of Epic Homes Limited is a Registered Master Builder and has been building new homes since 1996. After an early career as a Cabinet Maker Rodney formed RH Builders and then in March 2004 created Epic Homes Limited.

Epic Homes has been a consistent Master Builders Award winner for the past four years building quality residential homes in the greater Wellington region. In 2009 Epic Homes won the Silver and Category award, two Silver awards were gained in 2011 followed by Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards in 2012.

After a six-year break from entering the competition, we have proven we still have what it takes by taking out two silver awards at the Wellington Wairarapa Registered Master Builders 2018 House of the Year competition.

Design and Build

Epic Homes can work with you in any way you choose. You may already have a favourite architect and you may also have already purchased your own land. Or, if you prefer, Epic Homes can find you a section, an architect and of course a design specialist to assist with all of your choices.

If you're looking to purchase a new home straight off the plans then Epic Homes house and land packages are for you. We build quality new homes in excellent locations ready for you to move in to. Check out our current house and land packages we have for sale.

Rennovations

There are times when changing the home you already love is the best option for you. Alterations to your existing home follow the same process as building a new home from the original concept design, architects plans, and obtaining consents but within a much shorter time-frame.

Fixed price guarantee

Before commencing construction, Epic Homes will specify in your Contract a fixed price for the building and site works specified in the Contract. This provides you with the knowledge that there are no hidden extra costs.
